How to send flowers to a patient at Capital Health Regional

  1. Confirm the patient is admitted and which unit they are on. Call the main number, 609-394-6000, and ask; the unit determines whether flowers are allowed.
  2. Order online with the hospital's street address. Use 750 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638, not a P.O. box.
  3. Add the patient's full legal name and the unit or room. Put it in the recipient name and delivery-instructions fields so the information desk can route it.
  4. Order in the morning. Patients are often discharged before noon; an early same-day order has the best chance of arriving in time.
  5. Include your phone number. The florist calls you if the patient has moved or been discharged, so the delivery can be redirected.

About Capital Health Regional

Capital Health Regional Medical Center is Capital Health's Trenton hospital. It is a state-designated comprehensive stroke center, home to the Level II Bristol-Myers Squibb Trauma Center, one of ten designated trauma centers in New Jersey, and Mercer County's designated emergency mental health services center. A new Heart and Vascular Center opened here in September 2025.

There is no maternity unit at this campus. Capital Health's birthing center, neonatal intensive care and pediatric inpatient unit are at its Hopewell campus, so new-baby flowers should go there, not to Brunswick Avenue. The Trenton campus lists trauma, neuroscience intensive and intermediate care, cardiac surgery, dialysis and behavioral health among its inpatient services.

Capital Health Regional flower policy

Capital Health does not publish a flower or balloon restriction for this hospital, and its own lobby gift shop sells flower arrangements, plants and balloon bouquets for delivery to rooms. Critical care and neuro-intensive units set their own rules, so ask the unit first if the patient is in intensive care.

As at most hospitals, flowers are generally welcome on medical, surgical, maternity and rehabilitation floors and not permitted in intensive-care units or rooms with immunocompromised patients. Latex balloons are usually banned; Mylar balloons are fine. If you are unsure which unit the patient is on, call the hospital and ask before ordering.

What to send to a hospital room

  • Compact vase arrangement, low fragrance, in a stable non-glass container: fits a crowded bedside table.
  • Bright gerbera daisies or sunflowers: cheerful, scent-free and sturdy.
  • A small flowering plant: goes home with the patient and keeps giving.
  • Mylar balloon bouquet: the fallback when the unit does not allow flowers.

Capital Health Regional delivery FAQ

Can I send new-baby flowers to Capital Health Regional Medical Center?

No. Capital Health delivers babies at its Hopewell campus, in the Josephine Plumeri Birthing Center, not in Trenton. Check which campus the mother is in before you order.

How do I confirm a patient is at Capital Health Regional?

Call 609-394-6000 and ask to be transferred to the patient's room.

Can I send flowers to a patient at Capital Health Regional Medical Center?

Yes. Order online with the hospital's address (750 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638), the patient's full name and the unit or room. The florist delivers to the information desk, and hospital staff bring the arrangement to the patient.

Do I need the room number?

It helps but is not required. The patient's full legal name and the unit are enough for the desk to route the delivery.

Is same-day delivery available to Capital Health Regional?

Usually, when you order in the morning. The hospital is inside the regular Trenton delivery zone; the cutoff for your date is shown at checkout.

What if the patient is discharged before the flowers arrive?

The hospital will refuse the delivery and the florist will contact you to redirect it, normally to the patient's home. Order early in the day to avoid this.
